HANDBRAKE SHORTFILM
Director of Photography & Art Direction

Handbrake is a Greek short film directed by Antigoni Karnesioti, set in the heart of Athens.
The story follows two women, Melina and Sylia, whose lives intersect on a summer day as they navigate the often-unseen challenges of urban life. The film explores themes of inaccessibility, public space, and the unspoken solidarity shared between women in the city.
As Director of Photography and Creative Director, I helped shape the visual language and emotional tone of Handbrake, capturing the raw beauty of Athens and the quiet resilience of the film’s protagonists.
The film has been screened at notable venues, including Chania Film Festival, Technopolis in Athens, Onassis Stegi and was selected for the "Reflection of Disability in Art" International Festival.
