REBIRTH PROJECT
A deeply personal project, painted over one and a half years, marking a time of intense emotional transition.
Three paintings, each paired with a poem, form a trilogy that explores the process of letting go, rediscovering self, and starting over.
Together, they tell a story of transformation. Layer by layer, word by word.
Thick textures, acrylics, spray paint, bright colours filled with sadness, grief, and hope.
Each layer, each word is a tear, an emotion, a release.
Sometimes, losing yourself is the only way to truly begin again.
TRANSITIONING
You sense that life is about to shift.
Life needs to shift.
It's the first time.
You realise the future is yours to shape.
Confusion.
It feels strange.
The unknown.
You have to burn the past.
You have to let go.
Transition will be slow.
You know that.
You feel it.
You leave your old self behind.
Old drawings are burned.
Notes are torn to pieces.
Letting go is the only way forward.
That's where it all begins.
You burn everything that once defined you.
You burn everything that you once loved.
NO GUILT
The struggle of letting go.
When you realise change demands effort.
New habits are built.
Letting go of guilt, the hardest part of all.
This painting holds that struggle: layer after layer, the need to keep painting, to keep releasing.
Through the weight, light begins to break through.
And you start dreaming again, guilt-free this time.
Guilt-free for the first time.
Something you never thought you'd feel.
Life begins.
Fully, finally on your own terms.
LOSS
You can’t go back.
You are no longer that version of yourself.
Heartbreak.
Nostalgia.
Grief.
Freedom.
Nothing will ever be the same again.
But this is the only way.
To create space.
Rebirth.
The final layers.
Both darkness and light.
It’s the end of an era.
The darkness has to stay behind.
And this is it.
Your greatest act of self-love.
To start over.
To bloom,
like you’ve never bloomed before.
Again and again.
